Chase and World of Hyatt have just rolled out limited time welcome bonuses on their co-branded credit cards. In this post I wanted to take a look at the details of the offer on the business version of the card — if you’re eligible, you should consider applying.

Earn 75K points with World of Hyatt Business Card

The World of Hyatt Business Card is offering a two-part welcome offer of up to 75,000 World of Hyatt bonus points, structured as follows:

  • Earn 60,000 World of Hyatt bonus points after spending $5,000 within the first three months
  • Earn an additional 15,000 World of Hyatt bonus points after spending $12,000 within the first six months

In total, you could earn 75,000 World of Hyatt points after spending a total of $12,000 within the first six months. Personally, I value World of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents each, so to me the points are worth $1,125. On top of that, as I’ll explain below, reaching the minimum spending requirement would earn you five elite nights toward World of Hyatt status, so that’s valuable as well.

Note that this bonus is limited time, and is available for applications through March 6, 2024.

World of Hyatt Business Card eligibility requirements

If you’re interested in applying for the World of Hyatt Business Card, the typical Chase credit card application restrictions apply.

Fortunately beyond that, the rules are pretty simple. You’re not eligible for the bonus on the card if you currently have this card, or if you’ve received a new cardmember bonus on the card in the past 24 months. Eligibility for this card is unrelated to whether you have the World of Hyatt Credit Card (review), which is the personal version of the card, and which has an excellent bonus as well.

Why the World of Hyatt Business Card is worth it

The World of Hyatt Business Card has a $199 annual fee, and offers a variety of perks that could make it worthwhile:

  • The card offers World of Hyatt Discoverist status not just for the primary cardmember, but also for up to five employees
  • The card offers up to $100 in Hyatt credits annually; these are easy to use, because when you spend $50 or more at any Hyatt property with the card, you’ll get a $50 statement credit, up to two times each anniversary year
  • The card offers five elite nights for every $10,000 spent in a calendar year, meaning you rack up elite nights faster than spending on the personal version of the card
  • The card offers up to 10% of redeemed points back — this applies when you spend $50,000 on the card in a calendar year, and then you can get up to 20,000 points back for redemptions for the remainder of the same year
  • The card offers 4x points on Hyatt spending, 2x points on fitness clubs and gym memberships, and more

The major advantage of this card over the personal version of the card is that you earn elite nights toward status at a faster pace with your spending. Furthermore, the card has a bigger welcome bonus. Beyond that, though, I find the personal version of the card to have an all around more lucrative value proposition.

Bottom line

The World of Hyatt Business Card is currently offering an excellent limited time welcome offer, of up to 75,000 points. If you don’t yet have this card and are eligible, I’d highly recommend applying. This card has some useful perks, and it’s also the most rewarding card in terms of the ability to earn World of Hyatt elite nights for spending on an ongoing basis.

Anyone plan to pick up the World of Hyatt Business Card with 75K bonus points?

I was considering the business card but instead went with the personal one. not a bad card, but the value of the business version just doesn't feel as beneficial in the long term.

@Ben, regarding your note about no known end date, the offer page says "Offer ends 3/6/24."

Thanks, been waiting for this increased offer.
